Fabulous - does everything we need for our school age child and nothing that hooks him into spending too much time on it.
The Blanace Phone has given me peace of mind that I am assuaging some of the negative aspects of mobile phone use for my daughter such as the pitfalls of addictive scrolling, endless social media doom loops and other information rabbit holes. The Balance phone give us the ability to stay in touch, whilst mitigating the dark and dangerous side of smartphone use for teens.
I wanted a phone my daughter would not get lost in. The Balance phone provides everything she needs - but no more. It's a tool, not a time-sink. Would highly recommend.
I bought this for one of my kids. It was relatively easy to get up and running. I love the UI and how clean it is and so does my daughter. The lack of social media is fantastic. It’s a very good middle ground for the smart phone/dumb phone discussion. I wouldn’t mind having it myself. It was a little frustrating to need to deal with the Samsung account signup and the Google account signup since my daughter has a monitored child account we had to create a new account for just the phone. We just avoided the Samsung account stuff. I would love to see this expand and get more integrated in the hardware. Overall, I’m very pleased.
